Provision

I lost my brother in January 2009. He was a single dad, and we now have custody of his two boys. I am thankful for God's provision that we were able to accommodate two more children into our already busy family. I am thankful that my parents sacrificed much and made a significant career move so that they could relocate and be nearby to help with the boys. I am thankful for my husband for taking our nephews into the fold and loving them as our own three boys. I am thankful for a church family and colleagues who are like family to us. I am thankful for energy when I feel depleted and joy when I feel sorrow. Most of all, I thank God for loving me first so that I can love him back.

Thanksgiving Thanks

I am thankful that my brother is my best friend. I am also thankful for all of my fellow servicemen who have given up this Thanksgiving with their family in order to serve our country in a foreign land. JD

Thankful

I'm thankful for my family, friends, church, and country. I have a very loving, caring, happy, and fun family that shares their joy and happiness with others. My friends are also like family and often refer to themselves that way. I am a Christian with a solid church family, where I can worship and enjoy the fellowship of fellow believers. And I am very thankful for the USA: where we have freedom of religion; freedom to protest and share our views without fear of retaliation; separation of church and state; and freedom to pursue our dreams and happiness. I am also thankful that I was privileged to serve my country in Viet Nam and the Cold War, via 20 years of active duty with the Air Force and 23 more years as a contractor -- all together privileged to serve the Air Force, Office of Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other government agencies.

We are thankful for this very special day and the wonderful young woman, Beth, who became our "daughter" when she married our son and your friend Lyle here in Denver.

We are especially grateful that you were here for the occasion AND that we had the privilege of meeting your darling little girl. What a year it has been for you! We praise God for it all.

I am thankful for gracious friends and my health. Thanks K and J. Happy Thanksgiving!

So much to be thankful for!!

This year has been an amazing year for Craig and I, we are so thankful for everything that God has provided us. We were so blessed to find out in July that we were paired with a birth mother to be adoptive parents. Our beautiful daughter, Kamea Rose, was born October 16th and has been a joy in our lives. God also blessed us when we found out that we would also be expecting a biological child, we had been dealing with fertility issues and were so amazed and grateful when we found out the news. We're very thankful that the child is healthy so far and the pregnancy is going well. Lastly, we are so thankful for the opportunities we have coming up, we'll be moving to Okinawa Japan at the beginning of the year and are so happy we were both able to get an assignment together.

Thanks!

More than anything at this moment, I am thankful for my wife. I honestly think she is amazing. This year, we had our first baby. Every time I look at my little girl, my love and adoration for my wife grows. She has the ability to show so much compassion and she is such a carrier of light into this world. Her ability to love others is heroic. She has seen me at my very worst, and somehow she loves me anyway. She teaches me about God everyday through the way her life is an expression of the "Imago Dei."

On top of all that, she represents the only genetic hope I had of producing attractive offspring, and DANG it worked! Hopefully, baby Bella keeps growing to look more like her beautiful momma! Doesn't she look like a rockstar in this picture? (It was taken by the paparazzi that follow her everywhere.)

Thankful For....

What a great project, Kneil!

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for so many things. The most important thing is that 2 of my kids have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. God is such a great and loving God and I give Him all the glory for everything I have in my life. I am blessed and thankful for 4 wonderful, heathy, smart and happy kids and a wonderful husband of almost 15 years! I have the greatest family with parents that have been great role models and prove that marriage can last... 46 years thus far! I have learned a lot through my sister who is suffering from an illness and thankful that God has given me eyes and strength to learn though this process. Thankful and blessed.... they go hand in hand!

Hoping this Thanksgiving brings you much joy with your new little blessing, Kneil and Jodie!
XOXO
